Get the look of Momo Ogihara

Hello people!

Well I'm gonna try to start these blog about gyaru fashion, specially about where we can buy similar clothes in western stores. I really love mode, country and vintage gyaru so it's possible I post these kind of stuff more often. I hope you like it!

Sorry if do some mistakes writting in English, I'm from Spain so my level isn't really good (it's my thirth language). Please, feel free to help me to improve my skills!

Today I felt in love with a Momo Ogihara look. She's one of my favourite gyaru models. In this case, looks perfect for me. Let's see.

Well, I supose these clothes are designed by Murua (her own brand) and it's really expensive (as you know). But... I'm sure we could find her coordinate on our nearest shops! I usually look for them on "lowcost" stores like H&M, Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pimkie...

So, first of all, lets analyze the "points" of this coordinate:

  • "Tricot" loose jersey, best in white
  • Ripped jeans, best in grey or light blue
  • Plattform & strappy sandals, best in black or duotone
  • Belt with metal decorations, best in black
  • Hat (best in black)

I think this adult style fits really well on Zara, let's see...(spanish prices)
Tricot jacket, 12,99€
Strappy black sandals with high heels, 19,99€

Denim jeans, 15,95€
Black top, 3,99€

Well... I didn't find any belt or hat similar to the original look. We got similar clothes with amazing prices, anyway!. Otherwise, these clothes looks more formal than the original pic. Jeans aren't ripped and jersey isn't loose enough, so, it looks more adult.

Now let's see in H&M, there are vintage and mode clothes, sometimes.

In my opinion, I don't like the result at all, what do you think? I didn't find similar items... It keep her look essence (camisole is totally Murua style) but it's too much different.

Stradivarius usually has mode&vintage clothes, too. I got a good result, but more colorful. I think it's a good version and ideal for summer. What do you think?

There are all my choices. Let me explain! I didn't got the original B/W duotone because there aren't items like these on the shop. But I found some similar items in a really nice colors! You maybe feel strange with my choice, but:

  • Mixing acid colors it's totally trendy (orange sandals & bluegreen jersey) and black.
  • Leather & brown items are IN, too. So, don't be afraid of use leather sandals with similar belt & accessories. Then you could use the "tricot" jacket from Zara (not mixing with acid colors, in this case).

In my opinion, I prefer the acid version than leather version. Let's see the main points!

Point 1: ripped jeans. You will look more casual. Trick: Buy it one size bigger and they'll look baggy!

Point 2: Strappy sandals with platform. As I said, with acid colors you will look younger and summery!

Point 3: Black belt with metal decorations. If you are mixing acid tones, do it with moderation! This belt fits perfect with the top and try to combine it with a collar or a bracelet, so your coordinate won't look "too much".

That's all! Hope you like it and I'll be waiting for your opinions!

Sorry about my language mistakes! :_(
